As you find my corner of the universe, you realize things have changed...
And that's because it has-- at least a little! I've overhauled my website to add even more comics and short stories to prove that I am in fact a comic and prose writer as much as I am an editor. I do a lot and people should know about it, you know? I've even added recommendations to the site, and that frankly still needs to be updated. (You don't realize how many people you know until you want to recommend all of them to everyone.) As a nod to my first blog post, I am still trying to find a balance of using my site more and social media less, maybe even treating this like a newsletter instead of creating one of those. But honestly?
Lol, I do not have much to say. At least, nothing that doesn't get put in a personal journal. But I suppose I can give updates on projects here and there, maybe give you a peek behind the curtain if you're interested in knowing what I'm up to. So, yeah I guess here's what's going on in my world:
Projects 📝
- On The Run - A Supernatural/Fantasy Western where there are werewolves, vampires, witches, and maybe more as cowboys, sheriffs, and bounty hunters. I've hinted at this one every now and then, but I've finally finished the first and worst draft of it. Now I can finally see a clear path from A to Z and how to make the story better! Im excited to start polishing it up.
- Cursed Flowers - The next novel on my journey of making books. There's a depressed man holding the weight of two worlds in his hands and it's a race to see what will do him in first. The responsibility or himself? I'm still working on the "redraft" of this one because I decided to make this a mixed styled book. I took some inspiration from Paranatural in how this story flips from comics to prose and I think it's fun! And it is now something I'm doing. So! The drafts have to be redone. It's a slow going process.
- Various Small Things - Short stories and scripts to keep my writing sharp mostly. I want to have more confidence and submit to anthologies and other places more, but for the former, it does require having much of manuscripts being completed already unless I see the submission form early enough. (I'm also not a particularly fast writer so I'm learning... but hey, that's having a day job for you.
I have to slide these projects into the spaces that aren't filled with WildStar Press projects or being out at work. The goal still is to have the priorities swithched, where editing and WildStar and writing become my main focus and source of income and my day job can be supplemental, so all this work I'm doing is helping put the building blocks down to the future I want. However, if anyone wants to hire me to write a comic (publisher or anthology) I am certainly open to it. And if anyone needs an editor, I have slots open for that too.
But other than that, this year has been media consumption heavy (as someone who has been falling off the hype train because people are now or never when it comes to media lol).

- 🎶 - This Music Contains Hope by Raye is also very good
- 🎶 - Yearnalism by Baby Rose is one I recently discovered artist wise that's really good
- 🎞️ - Is God Is was a really good movie! It is a refreshingly black movie and a crazy revenge story
- 🎞 - Severance - yes I know everyone has seen it already, but I hadn't and yes it's really good.️
- 🎞️ -Project Hail Mary - yeah, it's good. Have you read the book???
Speaking of books, I have an entire Storygraph of books I've been reading, I'm not gonna make a list of those right now. Just know I'm reading and frankly would rather be reading than doing most things.
Oh and personal achievement that I've been doodling again. Doodling and dabbling in the arts. Big wins for coming out of artistic burnout.
